The SOA plates are a mix of agar and organic sorghum syrup. Allowing sorghum to be the first nutrient the mycelium consumes facilitates a faster colonization of the millet once the millet substrate has been inoculated. The plates are shrink wrapped and sealed in front of our MERV-rated, HEPA filtered flow hood. All of our plates are shelf-stable for up to 12 weeks.
