Wine Cap - "The Friendly Giant"

Seriously though, why are they so large?

Massive build, long shelf-life, and the nutty flavor reminiscent of red-wine and potatoes, the Friendly Giant sure knows how to make an impression. Not only is it one of the easiest mushrooms to grow, requiring little maintenance once a stable bed is in place, but gives back to you through soil building and water retention that’ll help out whatever other plants are in the neighborhood. While cultivation during spring or fall is ideal, growing these during the summer is possible as well, just make sure they’re at least partially in the shade and receive enough water to keep the ground below them moist.
