Pearl Oyster - "The Poster Child"
If you weren’t one, you definitely knew one.
You know the type. Slightly sweet, but not sickly so. Temperate, adaptable, and easy to grow. So much so that it’s likely you might’ve forgotten they were there, don’t worry though, they’re okay . . . wherever they are. But in all seriousness, if you’re just starting out and looking for something easy to grow in your edible landscape the Poster Child is well, the Poster Child (We don’t only use these names for sh*ts & giggles.) They’re the most common oyster mushroom, grow on a wide variety of substrates, and have a slightly sweet woodsy taste. However, be sure they get plenty of fresh air to grow property. Consider growing them outside, we hear there’s plenty of air out there.
